MECHANICAL DETAILS:
This bronco runs and drives excellent with no known mechanical issues, everything on/in this vehicle operates as it should except for the horn (waiting for an OEM replacement switch that should be installed and operational by the time the new owner picks it up). This bronco has been lovingly maintained over the years and it’s new owner will not be disappointed!
The 302 in this truck has been completely rebuilt at a price tag of $3,800, all receipts are available for review, no expenses were spared… The engine only has 2,000 miles on it since the rebuild and is hardly broken in. The engine builder claims this engine should be running around 350 horsepower and it FEELS LIKE IT – no lack of power here – truly a fun ride! An aftermarket transmission cooler and custom dual exhaust were also added after the rebuild.
Suspension, brakes and all other mechanical components operate very well – this vehicle needs nothing mechanical – the owner is confident this bronco will drive cross country without issue should you choose to do so.
Rims are alloy with all terrain tires w/approx. 15% tread
COSMETIC DETAILS:
The photos pretty much speak for themselves, overall this bronco is in very nice shape but is in need of some minor body work to bring it to 100%. Overall, the majority of rust visible is in typical spots such as the rear quarters, front hood edge, drivers side door post, etc. The paint is the original color but was re-done in 1978-1979. The frame and underbody are in very good condition with only minor surface rust. This bronco lived most of it’s life in Virginia and was in storage for 17 years, only about 15K miles were logged in Vermont, and while here the vehicle was always garaged and only driven in the summer.
The interior of this bronco is all original with the exception of Rhino Lining surface coating on the interior floor pan. The seats and interior amenities are in excellent condition with the exception of some wear on the driver’s seat (seen in the photos).
The original spare tire and mounting bracket are not shown but will be included with the sale.
THE STORY:
I am selling this bronco for it’s current owner, this vehicle has a long interesting story of past ownership that I will let the owner explain if you are truly interested – for the purposes of this listing the highlights are that the vehicle was originally titled in Virginia and spent most of it’s life there including a 17 year stint in storage. The vehicle has only been driven about 15,000 miles in Vermont exclusively in the summer. It has always been garaged and stored in heated storage in the winter. This is a great 70’s vintage bronco specimen.
The owner has the vehicle’s title in hand with documentation of past ownership history.
