Summary:
ON THE INVOLVED VEHICLES THE ELECTRICAL WIRING HARNESS LEADING TO THE STARTER AND BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH MAY HAVE BEEN IMPROPERLY ROUTED. THE HARNESS MAY CHAFE AGAINST THE FRONT ENGINE SHROUDING EVENTUALLY RESULTING IN INSULATION DAMAGE, WHICH CAN CREATE AN ELECTRICAL SHORT.

Remedy:
THE DEALER WILL INSPECT AND, IF NECESSARY, REROUTE THE HARNESS AND SECURE IT WITH A STRAP. IF DAMAGED, THE HARNESS WILL BE REPLACED.
